GENERAL OBJECTIVES
·         To value the importance of the English Language for the professional improvement.
·         To practice a basic level of communication to interact with professionals in physiotherapy.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
·         To be able to apply physiotherapist jargon.
·         To identify different types of scientific texts.
·         To write formal and informally using scientific writing styles.

Class schedule: Monday and Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.
ATTENDANCE
Plan to attend every class on time. Please note that late arrival upon class meeting will be considered absence and 25% of nonattendance in the academic period will be considered as N/A (no attendance/no grade.)

SPECIAL RULES
Prohibition against the Use of Electronic Devices
Please turn off all cell phones, pagers, laptops, notebook computers, tablet PCs, PDAs, and other electronic devices when class is in session.  Laptops, notebook computers, and tablet PCs may not be used in this class (unless you have been authorized by the instructor to use all or any of them for class purposes).
Uniform Policy
Wear your uniforms during class sessions. Not complying with this rule will forbid you to enter the classroom, therefore, during the class you will be absent with no grades.
Late Policy for Assignments
All assignments must be handed in at the beginning of class on the day they are due; otherwise, they will be considered late. Your grade for a late assignment (not more than two days overdue) will go down by ten points for each day it is late and you will automatically forfeit your option to redo such assignment.
